A lot of the problems with computers is that users go to websites or download stuff they really shouldn't. So be carefull. In the future I will try and give more information in this area.

One of the issue I have been seeing is that Flash and Java seem to just install the update and not upgrade. So what I have been doing is going in the Control Panel, then Add and Remove Programs and clicking on the old Java and then removing. To remove the old flash you have to download a uninstall tool from Adobe and then install the new version of flash.

If you add all the software I have talked about on this website, your computer memory usage can be anywhere from 200MB to 300MB. So if you don't have alot of memory in your computer this can really slow down the computer. My suggestion is to make sure you have 512MB or more memory. I would suggest the most important hardware and/or software you should have before going online is:

1. Maintenance Utility Software, like a Registry Utility, to make sure your Windows Registry is in good working order.

2. Firewall Hardware or Software, I have seen and heard Computers being infected by a virus as soon as they are on the internet. If they can't find your computer chances you won't get infected or attacked.

3. Antivirus Software, I have seen and heard Computers being infected by a virus as soon as they are on the internet.

4. Malware Software when you start using the Computer for regular usage. When you start visiting alot of websites.

5. Spyware Software when you start using the Computer for regular usage. When you start visiting alot of websites.

6. Web Browser Software when you start using the Computer for regular usage.

7. Spam Software when you start using the Computer for regular usage. When you start to download your email.

8. Maintenance Software will have some interesting security services or utilities.
